14th Assembly Ex-Officio Applications

Ex-officio applications are now open! Apply here! Applications are due February, 7th 2025.

Central Student Government is a place for cultivating advocacy and student leadership. However, we understand that it has not always been systemically welcoming. Through ex-officio positions, we believe we can better advocate for and support students by uplifting student advocates and ensuring that we can bring more voices into the conversation.

In accordance with the Constitution, there are seven non-voting representatives of the Assembly. These representatives are: one first-year undergraduate student, one first-year graduate student, one non-traditional student, one international student, one transfer student, one student who is Pell-Grant-eligible or who would be so eligible based on the Expected Family Contribution listed on their Federal Application For Student Aid Student Aid Report, and one student who advocates for disability-related issues.

If you have questions, please feel free to reach out to the Speaker, Eric Veal Jr. at elvealjr@umich.edu

The Central Student Government (CSG) of the University of Michigan, are comprised of students of different backgrounds who have come together to serve our fellow students and the entire University of Michigan community.

Through our work and advocacy, we seek to encourage student civic engagement, give voice to student concerns, and enhance student welfare and the Michigan experience for everyone.

CSG is motivated by the belief that there is no deeper expression of commitment to our school than to work to improve Michigan so that it realizes its greatest potential.
