Hi all!

Welcome back! We hope you enjoyed your winter break and that you are taking the necessary precautions such as masking during gatherings to keep our community safe now that we have returned back to campus. We also encourage you to get your booster shot (find a clinic here) and submit your updated vaccination information here.

MLK Day Programming

  • In collaboration with U-M NAACP, CSG is hosting an open-dialogue on Wednesday, January 19 at 7PM in light of MLK Day and Black History Month. This will provide students with the opportunity to discuss the legacy of MLK and other Black revolutionaries. The remote event will include interactive games and discussion. Participants will receive $10 gift cards for dinner on a first come first serve basis. Come join at this link for an engaging conversation about MLK!

  • University COVID-19 Response Survey

    • How do you feel about the University’s COVID-19 policies? Fill out this form to let us know to aid in our advocacy efforts.

  • Off-Campus Housing Conditions and Practices

    • Please fill out this survey to help us assess living conditions and student relationships with off-campus landlords. The benefit of taking this survey is a chance to receive 1 of 10 $25 e-gift cards.

  • Student Worker Survey

    • Please respond to this survey to gauge on-campus working conditions. The benefit of taking this survey is to inform individuals about current working conditions on campus as well as being entered into a drawing to win 1 of 40 $25 gift cards.

    • If you had to pay for a flu shot fill out this form to receive a reimbursement.

  • COVID-19 Test Reimbursement Form

    • If you paid for a COVID-19 test in order to safely return to campus, fill out this form to receive a reimbursement.

  • Anti-Racism Student Organization Grant

    • CSG provides funding for student organizations who have consistently committed to furthering ideals of social justice and anti-racism. Recipients will be able to apply for programming support (event specific support) and/or general operating support (non-event specific support). Click here to apply!

  • Is your landlord asking you to resign a lease or show your current unit?

    • If your landlord has been asking you to resign your lease or "reserve" a unit, that may go against the Early Leasing Ordinance approved by City Council. There are actions you can take to aid in our advocacy.

  • Calculator and IClicker Rentals

    • CSG is providing free iClicker and graphing calculator rentals to all students across campus. These rentals are semester-long and would be returned by the last day of classes for the fall semester. To pick up an iClicker and/or graphing calculator, please stop by the CSG Office (3rd floor of the Michigan Union) during our business hours: M-F 8:30am-5:30pm. First-come, first-serve - advance reservations are not available.

  • NYTimes and Wall Street Journal Subscription

    • CSG is pleased to offer free memberships for students to The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. They include full access to all articles through the Times and WSJ websites and mobile apps including NYTimes cooking! Sign up at!

  • CSG Test Prep Program for LSAT, & MCAT

    • Now Hiring: CSG Test Prep LSAT/MCAT/GRE Instructors

      • Instructors will be compensated $35/hr, up to 10 hrs per week. Please find more information and apply here by February 4, 2022.

    • Register for the W'22 CSG LSAT & MCAT Prep Program!

      • CSG has designed a low-cost effective test prep program for students pursuing graduate and doctoral degrees. You can register here and find FAQs here.

      • The W'22 cohort will prepare students for the end of May to June LSAT and MCAT exams. Classes will begin at the end of February/beginning of March. Classes will be held weekday evenings. The deadline to register is Wednesday, February 23. Information Sessions will be held:

        • Friday, January 28 1pm - 2pm

        • Sunday, February 6, 3pm - 4pm

        • Monday, February 21, 6pm - 7pm

  • Commissions

    • Commissions are project-based working groups that focus on a specific policy issue or topic. They meet weekly for about an hour and are open to all students. If you would like to join a CSG Commission, fill out this form.

  • Student Organization Funding Committee (SOFC)

Mental Health Resources from CAPS

  • Winter Semester Therapy Groups and Workshops

    • Look here to see descriptions and information for the 17 therapy groups, 6 brief treatment groups, clinical workshops and lunch series groups being offered this semester.

  • TogetherAll

    • An online, anonymous, peer community support approach to mental health support. Click here sign up and register and get more info.

U-M Domestic Student Health Insurance Plan

  • The University of Michigan encourages all students to have health insurance. If you need insurance coverage, the U-M Domestic Student Health Insurance Plan (DSHIP) through Blue Care Network of Michigan (BCN) has generous benefits at a very reasonable cost.

  • Insurance cost for an individual student for the 2022 Winter Open Enrollment Period (coverage dates 1/1/22-8/23/22) is $1242. Deadline for purchase is January 31, 2022.

    • This insurance plan provides coverage with a wide array of benefits, including: clinic visits, prescription medication, annual vision exam,hospitalization, emergency care, limited dental benefits and more.

    • Annual deductible is only $100 for in-network care and $100 for out-of-network care.

    • In-network coverage is available throughout the U.S.

    • This plan is available to U-M students and their spouses, domestic partners, and dependents under the age of 26 (if the student is enrolled in the plan).
