Jarek is a junior from Rochester, MI studying Political Science and Economics. He joined CSG during his freshman year as an intern to the Sustainability Policy Advisor. Since then, Jarek served as an LSA Representative in the 11th, 12th, and 13th Assemblies. Previously, he held the leadership as Chair of the Rules Committee and Parliamentarian. During his time on Assembly, Jarek has worked tirelessly to amend the governing documents to make CSG and its rules more comprehensible, accessible, and efficient. His favorite project was the introduction of the Public Elections Fund, an account which would reimburse candidates for campaign-related expenses--removing barriers to entry for low-income students. Outside of CSG, Jarek works as a research assistant at U-M's International Institute and is an avid runner (and winner of the inaugural CSG 5k). Jarek plans on working closely with his colleagues in the Executive Branch and Assembly to amplify student voices and create a campus that is affordable, sustainable, and inclusive for all students.
