Akhila Mullapudi

Director of Government Relations

Akhila Mullapudi (she/her/hers) is a third-year undergraduate student at the Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy pursuing her BA with a minor in the School of Information in User Experience Design. During her time in Central Student Government, Akhila has served as the Deputy Policy Advisor for University Consciousness (2021 - 2022) and the Government Relations Coordinator and Executive Delegate for Students of Michigan (both 2022 - 2023). Akhila is passionate about equipping students with the knowledge they need to be advocates for local and global causes. She is excited to work alongside the rest of the Executive Team this year to plan educational events about civic engagement and encourage students to make a voting plan ahead of the presidential primaries. Outside of Central Student Government, Akhila is involved with Michigan Political Consulting where she was the project manager with BlueBonnet Data, she serves as Personnel Chair for her sorority, Chi Omega.

The Central Student Government (CSG) of the University of Michigan, are comprised of students of different backgrounds who have come together to serve our fellow students and the entire University of Michigan community.

Through our work and advocacy, we seek to encourage student civic engagement, give voice to student concerns, and enhance student welfare and the Michigan experience for everyone.

CSG is motivated by the belief that there is no deeper expression of commitment to our school than to work to improve Michigan so that it realizes its greatest potential.
