Harin Yang

Chief Diversity Officer (CDO)

Harin is a sophomore majoring in International Studies with a minor in Russian Language, Literature, and Culture. Born in South Korea and raised across multiple countries, she is passionate about international policy and law. She previously served as a Government Relations Intern in CSG, where she founded the GLOBE initiative connecting student governments around the world. As Chief Diversity Officer, Harin is committed to expanding access to leadership opportunities and fostering a campus community where every student can thrive.

The Central Student Government (CSG) of the University of Michigan, are comprised of students of different backgrounds who have come together to serve our fellow students and the entire University of Michigan community.

Through our work and advocacy, we seek to encourage student civic engagement, give voice to student concerns, and enhance student welfare and the Michigan experience for everyone.

CSG is motivated by the belief that there is no deeper expression of commitment to our school than to work to improve Michigan so that it realizes its greatest potential.
