    5. We are collaborating with michgrads, the biggest on campus graduation photos company, to subsidize graduation photos for low income students. More information about signups will be provided in a joint instagram post. CSG will be subsidizing a portion of the costs and michgrads have graciously offered to cover a majority of the costs as well. The student will only be paying $20 for a 15 minute session which typically costs $150. Please keep an eye out on our Instagram for more information and reach out to Joyce joycedj@umich.edu with any questions.

  4. Policy Team

    1. The Policy Team Director and Deputy Director Lidia and Tiya attended the Big Ten on the Hill conference (along with SGC Liam) over spring break and did amazing work representing our administration. Some highlights include discussions focused on financial aid, housing affordability, food security, and the push for a student regent on Michigan’s Board of Regents. The delegation met with the offices of Senator Slotkin, Senator Peters, Representative Tlaib, and others to discuss federal research funding, SNAP access, and housing policy. ABTS passed legislation supporting DEI, Title IX, and federal education policies in response to growing threats to higher education. The University of Michigan delegation will continue advocacy efforts by following up with representatives and pushing for student representation on the Board of Regents. Read the full report HERE.

    2. The DEAC is working on the guidelines for the Disability Advocates and Caregivers Scholarship and have a meeting with SSD to discuss logistics. The March InclusiviTEA will be featuring the topic of sports and how that has impacted the disability community and will feature the Adaptive Sports Program!
