During the virtual event, Representative Upton provided an update on his priorities for Michigan, including his work in the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. Representative Dingell provided an update on her concurrent work on the House Committee on Energy and Commerce and the House Committee on Natural Resources. In this joint panel, both representatives discussed present opportunities to work across the aisle in bipartisan decision-making among the current political vitriol and economic climate. Students had the opportunity to ask questions to both speakers on issues of bipartisanship, their joint efforts in the House, their commitment to their constituents in Michigan, and future opportunities for collaboration and compromise.
