University Council Ex-Officio Member Applications are now open!

The University Council is composed of a representative from each degree granting institution’s student government at the University of Michigan as well as the RHA and CSG. The University Council meets to discuss and debate campus issues, propose and vote on legislation for the betterment of the University community, hear the concerns of constituents, and collaborate on initiatives.

A student organization may have an ex-officio membership which consists of parliamentary rights on the UC, except the right to vote. Apply if you are interested in your student organization serving on the University Council.

The Central Student Government (CSG) of the University of Michigan, are comprised of students of different backgrounds who have come together to serve our fellow students and the entire University of Michigan community.

Through our work and advocacy, we seek to encourage student civic engagement, give voice to student concerns, and enhance student welfare and the Michigan experience for everyone.

CSG is motivated by the belief that there is no deeper expression of commitment to our school than to work to improve Michigan so that it realizes its greatest potential.
