Meera Herle

Meera is a senior from Buffalo, NY studying Public Policy with a concentration in Sustainable Development and Environmental Policy and minors in Creative Writing and Program in the Environment (PitE). Previously, she served as CSG Chief of Staff and the Senior Policy Advisor for Environmental Justice. Meera is passionate about uplifting student advocacy and supporting an affordable, accessible, and sustainable campus culture. Her priorities include providing University leadership with an accurate and nuanced sense of student opinions and including more student leaders in policy-making conversations. Outside of CSG, Meera is involved in Theta Alpha Psi pre-professional sustainability fraternity, co-founded an undergraduate law review publication on campus, and works as a research assistant at the Institute for Social Research. Meera loves speaking with students about issues they're facing on campus. Please feel free to reach out to her or stop by the CSG Office to say hello!

The Central Student Government (CSG) of the University of Michigan, are comprised of students of different backgrounds who have come together to serve our fellow students and the entire University of Michigan community.

Through our work and advocacy, we seek to encourage student civic engagement, give voice to student concerns, and enhance student welfare and the Michigan experience for everyone.

CSG is motivated by the belief that there is no deeper expression of commitment to our school than to work to improve Michigan so that it realizes its greatest potential.
