Executive Committee Report - June 10, 2023

The executive committee nominated the following members for confirmation at the 13th Assembly meeting on June 12, 2023:

• Terra Lafreniere for Chief Programming Officer - Confirmed

• Andrew Ky for Communication Director - Confirmed

• Akhila Mullapudi as Director of Government Relations - Confirmed

• Peter Tam as Director of Internal Relations - Confirmed

Below are other updates from the executive committee:

• The June All Campus email is scheduled to go out this week

• The Executive Committee has been working on a collaboration with the Spectrum Center for an upcoming event called “Ice Cream Social with a Twist”, aimed at reducing the stigma surrounding HIV/STI testing. This will take place on June 20th from 3:30-5:30 PM in the Regents Plaza, and free HIV/STI testing will also be available from 4:00-7:00 PM in the Spectrum Center Office.

• Student General Counsel Tyler Watt is working on reviewing unit student government election processes to see if any changes are in order following the constitutional amendment passed in March, as well as starting to plan ahead and map out Fall semester elections.
