Central Student
Legislature
The Central Student Government Legislative Branch consists of an Assembly and a University Council.

The Assembly is composed of 45 voting representatives elected from among the students every year according to the degree-granting units defined by the Board of Regents. These seats are apportioned between the units by enrollment using the Huntington-Hill method, with enrollments determined by the average of the most recent Winter Term and Fall Term, and each unit receiving at least one representative.
Each representative has one vote in the Assembly.

The University Council is composed of the Central Student Government Vice President, one Councilor from each unit student government, and one Councilor from the Residence Hall Association. Each Councilor is the leader of their government or a person whom the leader designates.
The Council must meet at least twice per month during the academic year.
